Dollar dips at MICEX open Weds

MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - The dollar was down a bit as the MICEX opened for business on Wednesday, and the ruble gained a little against the bicurrency basket as the euro corrected up on the Forex and world market moods brightened somewhat.

MICEX dollar trading opened at 31.43-31-47 rubles/$1, or 6-9 kopecks down from Tuesday close, but 10-14 kopecks above the current official exchange rate.

The euro opened at 40.97 rubles/EUR1, close to the previous trading close and about 10 kopecks under the official Wednesday exchange rate.

The bicurrency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45) slipped roughly 5 kopecks at market open to 35.73 rubles.
