Russian core sector output growth accelerates to 3.2% in Oct - Rosstat

MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Core sector output growth in Russia accelerated to 3.2% in October, from 1.3% in September and 2.4% in August, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.

Core sector growth was 3.1% in July, 7.1% in June, 8.7% in May and 7.7% in April.

Output by the five core sectors, which are industry, agriculture, construction, transport and retail, grew 4.7% year-on-year in January-October 2010. It had fallen 11.9% year-on-year in January-October 2009, including by 6.6% in October.

In October 2010 compared with October 2009, output rose 6.6% in industry (rose 8.6% in the 10M).
