Sberbank expects loans to cos to grow 9%-10%, to private borrowers 15%-18% in 2011

MOSCOW. Dec 7 (Interfax) - Sberbank of Russia anticipates that its portfolio of loans to legal entities will grow 9%-10% next year, while those to private borrowers grow 15%-18%, the bank's deputy chairman, Anton Karamzin, said during a conference call on Tuesday.

"In the corporate sector lending could possibly grow in the neighborhood of 9% to 10% in 2011, which is a little higher than inflation," Karamzin said. "In retail lending - in the neighborhood of 15%, perhaps more," he said, adding that the bank might be more aggressive in the latter, and that its retail loan portfolio might grow 18%.

These projects remain subject to adjustment, he said, after final approval of the bank's business plan for 2011.
