Russia sees 0.2% inflation in week, 7.8% YTD - Rosstat
MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Russia had 0.2% inflation for the fifth week running in the period November 30-December 6, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.
It was 7.8% between January 1 and December 6 this year, compared with 8.5% in the same period of last year. Inflation was 0.4% in December 2009.
Millet prices rose 3.2% last week, compared with 3.5% growth the previous week.
Buckwheat rose 2.3%, and eggs, sugar and sunflower oil went up 0.7%-1.8%.
Fruit and vegetables averaged up 1.7%, including cabbage - 4.5%, onion - 3.1% and potatoes - 1.9%.
Gasoline went up 0.2% and diesel - 3.7%.
