Russia's ARMZ bidding $1.15 bln for Australian uranium miner Mantra Resources

PERTH. Dec 15 (Interfax) - Atomredmetzoloto (ARMZ) has offered to buy 100% of the shares in Australian uranium miner Mantra Resources Ltd for $1.15 billion.

Mantra said the Russian uranium holding had offered A$8 per share, or 21.2% above its average share price for the last 30 days.

The deal works out at $10.26 per pound of Mantra's uranium reserves, which are concentrated in Tanzania.
