TNK-BP boosts fuel sales 400% on exchanges in 2010
MOSCOW. Jan 19 (Interfax) - Oil company TNK-BP sold 1.46 million tonnes of petroleum products in exchange trading throughout 2010, the company said in a press release.
This was an increase of more than 400% from 2009.
The company boosts exchange sales of petroleum products in the fourth quarter by 24%, in comparison with the third quarter, to 548,000 tonnes.
The company's fuel sales through exchanges accounted for 20.7% of total sales on the domestic market in October-December.
The company currently sells production on exchanges from all of its oil refineries, including the Lisichan Refinery in Ukraine. TNK-BP exclusively sells light petroleum products largely in the European part of Russia.
TNK-BP started exchange trading of petroleum products in 2009. The company primarily sells its production on the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) and Interregional Oil and Gas Complex Exchange (MBNK).
