Kazakhstan ups oil refining 12.8% in 2010

ASTANA. Jan 20 (Interfax) - Oil refineries in Kazakhstan processed 13.683 million tonnes of crude in 2010, up 12.8% from 2009, a government official told Interfax.

December throughput was 1.265 million tonnes.

The Pavlodar refinery boosted throughput 16.4% to 4.8 million tonnes in 2010, PetroKazakhstan Oil Products raised it 14.4% to 4.583 million tonnes and the Atyrau refinery raised it 7.4% to 4.3 million tonnes.

Gasoline production rose 11.8% to 2.894 million tonnes in 2010, diesel production rose 7.3% to 4.074 million tonnes, fuel oil - 16.5% to 3.771 million tonnes, vacuum gasoil - 21.5% to 786,446 tonnes, aircraft fuel- 31.1% to 489,629 tonnes and liquefied gases - 23.1% to 2.246 million tonnes.
