Rosbank posts 2.5 bln rubles in RAS net profit for 2010

MOSCOW. Jan 21 (Interfax) - Rosbank's net profit according to Russian accounting standards (RAS) for 2010 (not including events after the reporting date) came to 2.517 billion rubles compared to RAS net losses totalling 10.268 billion rubles for 2009, the bank said in its information.

The improvement in the bank's financial results was driven by an increase in net operational revenues.

Rosbank, in which French banking group Societe Generale owns 74.88%, was 13th biggest bank in Russia by assets at the end of the third quarter of 2010 according to the Interfax-100, compiled by the Interfax Center for Economic Analysis (CEA).

CJSC VTB Capital owns 11.13% in Rosbank following its acquisition of Vladimir Potanin's stake at the end of 2010.
