Prices on Siberian energy market break through 3-yr maximum at 670 rubles/megawatt hr

MOSCOW. Jan 24 (Interfax) - The price index for the Siberian energy market increased by 7.4% to 670.5 rubles per megawatt hours on Monday for day ahead trades and thereby broke through a three-year maximum.

According to OJSC ATS, the record price last year was set on July 31 at 666.07 rubles per megawatt hour. The historic maximum for Siberian prices was set for August 23, 2007 at 727.56 rubles per megawatt hour.

Current prices in Siberia are 39.1% above the index position on trades for January 25, 2010.
