Medvedev orders transportation hubs to be put under tight security
MOSCOW. Jan 24 (Interfax) - President Dmitry Medvedev ordered a "special regime" to be introduced "at all airports, railroad terminals and major transportation hubs" after a bombing at Moscow's Domodedovo airport on Monday that reportedly claimed at least 31 lives and left at least 20 others in a critical condition.
Medvedev issued the order at an urgent conference at his residence in Gorki, outside Moscow.
He ordered Transportation Minister Igor Levitin and Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev "to carry through appropriate procedures in cooperation with the FSB [Federal Security Service]."
