Security measures at Domodedovo airport were insufficient - National Anti-Terrorist Committee

MOSCOW. Jan 25 (Interfax) - The security measures taken at Domodedovo Airport were insufficient, Nikolai Sintsov, an official with the National Anti-Terrorist Committee, said on a live broadcast on the television network Rossiya 24.

"the security measures at Domodedovo were insufficient, otherwise nothing would have happened," Sintsov said, adding that metal detectors were not installed in some places or were not working.

"Metal detectors were not installed in some places and in some places they didn't work. Access to the territory was virtually unrestricted and anyone could have brought a bag here bypassing security," he said.

Sintsov said security has been tightened at all airports in Russia.
