Shuvalov to replace Medvedev at most Davos forum events

GORKI, Moscow region. Jan 26 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov will host most of the events at the World Economic Forum in Davos that were earlier supposed to be hosted by President Dmitry Medvedev, who had to significantly reduce the program of his visit to the forum because of the Monday bombing at Domodedovo Airport.

"The president will fly to Davos in the afternoon today so as to take part in the economic forum," presidential press secretary Natalya Timakova said.

It was reported earlier that Medvedev plans to return to Moscow the same evening.

"A representative delegation led by Shuvalov will continue to work," she said.
