Inter RAO gets stakes in 33 power companies in consolidation

MOSCOW. March 29 (Interfax) - OJSC Inter RAO UES has become the holder of stakes in thirty-three power companies, shares in which were used as payment in the state power import-export monopoly's additional share issue for sector-asset consolidation.

The Inter RAO press service reported that stakes in power companies were provided by federal property fund Rosimuschestvo, OJSC Federal Grid Company , OJSC RusHydro , OJSC Inter RAO Capital (an Inter RAO subsidiary that bought up some of the holding's additional shares), and also Inter RAO shareholders exercising preemptive buying rights to the additional shares.

Inter RAO's balance sheet also received 79.24% of the stock in OJSC OGK-3 , which mining and metals giant Norilsk Nickel used to pay for Inter RAO shares through Inter RAO Capital.

Inter RAO now has holdings in the companies listed below:
