Inner Mongolia installed wind capacity reaches 10 GW
Shanghai. April 1 INTERFAX-CHINA - Installed wind power capacity in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region totaled more than 10 gigawatts (GW) as of end-February, according to statistics released April 1 by the regional government.
Inner Mongolia is first administrative region in China with installed wind power capacity of more than 10 GW, the government said.
Inner Mongolia has total exploitable wind power resources of 150 GW. The region's wind turbines operate for approximately 2,678 hours every year, compared to the national average of 1,861 hours per year, according to the government.
