Skolkovo Management School appoints new president
MOSCOW. Sept 19 (Interfax) - Troika Dialog Board Chairman Ruben Vardanian has given up his seat as president of Skolkovo Moscow School of Management to former Federal Grid Company (FGC) chief Andrei Rappoport.
Vardanian has headed Skolkovo since it was established. He will remain on the school's coordination council and will lead the international cooperation and strategic partnership committee.
Skolkovo has also announced the appointment of two new coordination council members. They are former Kremlin administration chief and head of a working group on establishing an international finance center in Russia, Alexander Voloshin, and Rusnano CEO Anatoly Chubais, who was Rappoport's boss at RAO UES Russia.
Rappoport - one of the first partner-founders of Skolkovo, headed the coordination council staff committee.
Rappoport left FGC in June 2009. There has been little information about his career since then. It was only reported that in July 2011 he became an independent director at the financial corporation Otrkytie, where his former colleague on the board of RAO UES Sergei Dubinin was already a member.
