Early figures show NOVATEK boosted gas extraction 45% in Q1-Q3
MOSCOW. Oct 10 (Interfax) - Independent gas producer NOVATEK extracted 39.01 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas in the period January-September, a 45.1% year-on-year increase, and 3.1 million tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons, 16.1% more, according to a company press release citing initial production figures.
Gross Q3 production amounted to 13.45 bcm of natural gas (up 58.2% year-on-year) and 998,000 tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons (up 12.3%).
Unstable gas condensate processing at Purovsky Gas Condensate Processing Plant came to 0.9 million tonnes in Q3 and 2.88 million tonnes in Q1-Q3.
The preliminary figures indicate stable gas condensate export sales totaled 657,000 tonnes in Q3 this year versus 722,000 tonnes in Q3 last year.
As of September 30, 1.2 bcm of natural has and 325,000 tonnes of stable gas condensate were reflected as "in transit or storage and recognized as inventory," compared with 1.1 bcm of natural gas and 206,000 tonnes of stable gas concentrate as of September 30 last year.
