Rosatom to merge Atomstroyexport with Nizhny Novgorod engineering co - sources
MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom plans on December 1 to start merging CJSC Atomstroyexport, its general contractor for overseas nuclear power plants, with OJSC Nizhny Novgorod Engineering Company Atomenergoproyekt, industry sources told Interfax.
A specific scheme for the merger, which should be completed during Q2 2012, is being worked out, although it might be carried out by appointing a sole executive body at both companies, one source said.
A source at Rosatom said CJSC Atomstroyexport would continue to act as the national agent for intergovernmental agreements to build nuclear power plants using Russian technology abroad.
