Oil output in Irkutsk Region doubles in 2011, gas production up 70%

IRKUTSK. Jan 31 (Interfax) - Resource producers in the Irkutsk Region doubled oil output in 2011 to 6.523 million tonnes, the region's Subsoil Use Agency (Irkutsknedra) told Interfax.

Total gas output in 2011 went up by 70% to 1.0598 billion cubic meters and gas condensate - up 28% to 90,820 tonnes.

The bulk of hydrocarbon production was implemented by OJSC Verkhnechonskneftegaz (owners - OJSC TNK-BP Holding and Rosneft ), which produced 5.0229 million tonnes of oil (up 90%) and 572.6 million cubic meters of gas (up 130%) at the Verkhnechonsk oil and gas condensate field.

Output at the Yaraktinskoye, Danilovskoye and Markovskoye fields, as well as the Zapadno-Ayanskoye section, which are being developed by LLC Irkutsk Oil Company (owner - CJSC INK-Capital), was as follows: oil - 1.1837 million tonnes (up 75%), gas - 292.1 mcm (up 32%), and gas condensate - 57,800 tonnes (up 20%).

CJSC Dulisma Oil Company (owned by Sberbank ) produced 316,900 tonnes at the Dulisminskoye filed (up 500%), 148.2 mcm of gas (up 50%) and 30,000 tonnes of gas condensate (up 50%).

An Irkutsknedra representative said that the increase in total output has been "driven by the connection of the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) oil pipeline to these companies' fields".

Furthermore, he said that total gas production that the Kovytka condensate field (OJSC Gazprom owns the development rights) halved to 19.31 mcm while condensate output decreased by 57% to 810 tonnes.

LLC Atov-Mag Plus increased gas output at the Atovskoye gas condensate field by 19% to 22.1 mcm and gas condensate - up 500% to 1,660 tonnes.

Total gas output at the Bratskoye field (owned by Itera through OJSC Bratskekogaz) increased by 40% to 5.49 mcm in 2011 and gas condensate - up 43% to 490 tonnes.
