BRICS countries sign deal on lending in national currencies
DELHI. March 29 (Interfax) - Representatives of BRICS nations signed a general agreement on provision of loans in national currencies and a multilateral agreement on confirmation of letters of credit.
The signing ceremony followed the summit of the Brazilian, Russian, Indian and Chinese leaders in Delhi.
"These documents are intended to increase the role of national currencies in mutual settlements between BRICS countries," Sergei Prikhodko, aide to the Russian president, has said.
