Clinton against Iran's participation in meeting on Syria
BAKU. June 6 (Interfax) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has rejected Russia's proposal for organizing talks between states that can influence the opposition groups in Syria, with Iran's participation, in order to persuade the opposition groups to abide by the Kofi Annan plan.
It is somehow difficult to imagine extending an invitation to the country that is directing the Assad regime's attack on its people, Clinton said in Baku on Wednesday.
