Abolition of Jackson-Vanik amendment a priority for U.S. administration - Obama
LOS CABOS, Mexico. June 19 (Interfax) - The abolition of the Jackson-Vanik amendment is a priority for the U.S. administration, U.S. President Barack Obama told Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trade between the two countries is below the level possible, he said.
Putin thanked Obama for supporting Russia in its World Trade Organization accession bid.
"I am sure this will promote our economic ties," Putin said.
