Putin gets impression that Israeli-Palestinian understandings are possible

AMMAN. June 26 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin has said that during his tour of the Middle East he did not have the objective of organizing a personal meeting of Palestinian and Israeli leaders but got the impression that understandings between Palestinians and Israelis are possible.

"I did not put forward such an objective - to insist on a personal meeting between the leaders of the two states - but I got the impression that understandings are possible," he said to journalists on Tuesday.
