Moscow regrets UK obstructing Russia's participation in Farnborough air show

MOSCOW. July 5 (Interfax) - Russia regrets that by not issuing visas to Russian participants in the Farnborough international air shows, the British authorities are obstructing Russia's presence at this event, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich.

"Although the applications were filed in advance, some of the Russian representatives, who were planning to take part in the Farnborough international air show opening on July 9, have not received British visas. Unfortunately, it is not the first instance when red tape derails our representatives' participation in international events held in Britain," Lukashevich said in a commentary posted on the Foreign Ministry website on Thursday.
