Ukrainian parliament votes against considering speaker Lytvyn's resignation
KYIV. July 6 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has voted against putting speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn's resignation on the agenda of the 10th parliamentary session.
None of the 267 deputies present in the session hall on Friday voted for putting this issue on the agenda, and four voted expressly against it.
The Ukrainian parliament rules of procedure stipulate that an issue cannot be voted on without being previously put on the agenda.
