Naftogaz Ukrainy's revenue from gas transit down 6% in H1
KYIV. Aug 10 (Interfax) - National company Naftogaz Ukrainy provided gas transit services worth 12.4188 billion hryvni (7.993 hryvni/$1 on August 10, 2012) in January-June 2012, a year-on-year decrease of 6.2%, the company said in its quarterly reporting
The company said that natural gas transit accounted for 18.5% of its revenue in the period compared to 19.6% in the first half of last year.
In volume terms, the company reduced gas transit by 23.6% to 44.355 billion cubic meters.
Naftogaz Ukrainy sold 26.678 bcm of gas in the first six months worth 49.553 billion hryvni compared to 27.256 bcm of gas worth 48.557 billion hryvni in the same period of 2011.
Gas sales accounted for 73.9% of the company's revenue compared to 71.8% in January-June 2011.
It was earlier reported that the company posted 4.458 billion hryvni in net losses for the first half of 2012, 62.865 billion hryvni in net revenue, and 1.615 billion hryvni in gross profit.
