Orsknefteorgsintez ups crude refining 12% in 7M

ORENBURG. Aug 15. (Interfax) - OJSC Orsknefteorgsintez (the Orsk Oil Refinery) refined 3.319 million tonnes of crude oil in January-July 2012, a 12.1% year-on-year increase, the company said in a press release.

Gasoline output jumped 31% to 516,500 tonnes in the seven months - 34,300 tonnes of Premium-95 gasoline; 227,900 tonnes of Regular-92; and 254,300 tonnes of Normal-80.

Besides gasoline, the Orsk Oil Refinery produced 203,900 tonnes of jet fuel (up 35.5%), 935,500 tonnes of diesel fuel (up 10.5%) and almost 36,000 tonnes of lubricant.

Orsknefteorgsintez is the leading oil refinery in the Orenburg region. The facility can refine 6.6 million tonnes of oil a year. Last year it refined 5.253 million tonnes.

Oil company Russneft sold Orsknefteorgsintez to various foreign investors last summer. At present, Cyprus-based Sermules Enterprises owns 92.2% of the refinery's voting shares. The owner of 100% in Sermules is Virgin Islands-registered Cipation Holding Ltd, which belongs to the son of Kazatomprom's chief, Igor Skholnik.
