Urals Airlines flies 42% more passengers in 8M
YEKATERINBURG. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Urals Airlines, one of Russia's ten leading airlines, flew 2.335 million travelers in January-August, 42% more year-on-year, a company statement says.
The airline made 17,518 flights during the period, including 7,488 flights to destinations outside the Commonwealth of Independent States, 3,639 flights to destinations in the CIS, and 6,391 domestic flights.
Urals Airlines' passenger turnover for the eight months amounted to 6.302 billion passenger-kilometers.
In August alone, the company flew 427,612 passengers - a 31% year-on-year increase - on 2,736 flights. Of those 1,287 were international flights, 944 domestic, and 505 to other countries in the CIS.
August turnover was 1.128 billion passenger-km, up 26%.
