It's unrealistic to demand surrender of Assad's regime - Lavrov

NEW YORK. Sept 27 (Interfax) - Moscow puts certain deal of responsibility for bloodshed in Syria on countries that provoke the armed Syrian opposition.

"A great deal of responsibility for the ongoing bloodshed lies on the sates that simultaneously call on Bashar Assad supporters to stop violence and give up dialog, that call to the unconditional surrender of the regime. Such an approach is not only unrealistic, but also incites terrorist means to which the armed opposition resort more often," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at an open session of the United Nations Security Council in New York.

"We condemn every violent action, any violation of human rights and the international humanitarian law no matter what side - either the Syrian convent or the armed opposition - commits them," Lavrov said.
