Georgia opposition leader Ivanishvili congratulates supports on election performance

TBILISI. Oct 1 (Interfax) - The leader of opposition coalition Georgian Dream, billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, congratulated his supporters on success in Monday's parliamentary elections, Georgian Dream claiming victory in the polls.

"I want to congratulate all supporters of our coalition and want to stress specially that all those who have voted for the ruling coalition are our brothers, and that under no circumstances will there be any persecution of them or pressure on them," Ivanishvili said.

"We should maintain self-control and wait for the formalization of our victory," he said.
