Georgian Dream hopeful of 97 seats in new parliament

TBILISI. Oct 4 (Interfax) - It would be premature to say how many deputies have been elected in majoritarian contests, Georgian Dream campaign staff head David Saganelidze told reporters on Thursday.

"According to our estimates, 42 Georgian Dream candidates and 31 National Movement candidates are victorious now. Hopefully, the number of our majoritarian deputies will grow to 45 after the Central Elections Commission and, probably, courts hear our claims," he said.

In all, Georgian Dream is hopeful of 97 parliament seats after the Central Elections Commission makes its final report. Hence, the United National Movement may have 53, he said.
