Investigation into embezzlement in Russian Space Systems will be completed - head of Interior Ministry's Main Department for Moscow

MOSCOW. Nov 9 (Interfax) - Anatoly Yakunin, the head of the Interior Ministry's Main Department for Moscow, says the suspects in the embezzlement at Russian Space Systems should not hope for any patrons.

"No patrons will help in this case. The case will be brought to its logical end," Yakunin told a briefing.

Yakunin said the case is under the personal control of Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev.

"If there are any attempts of pressure, they will be curbed immediately," Yakunin said.

Responding to a question about the people involved in this case, Bozhkov said these people are top Russian Space Systems officials.

"We are talking about the top officials of this structure. Naturally, we are not naming any names yet," Bozhkov said.

Operatives have been working on this case for 2.5 years, he said.

"When the information on the embezzlement of the funds reached the police, a meeting was conducted with Sergei Ivanov, who was then deputy prime minister, former interior minister Rashid Nurgaliyev, Roscosmos Director Anatoly Popovkin, and Vladimir Kolokoltsev, who was then head of the Interior Ministry's Department for Moscow," Bozhkov said.
