Magnitsky List would not threaten Russia's national security - Patrushev
MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - The so-called Magnitsky List and the annulment of the Jackson-Vanik amendment were discussed by the Russian Security Council on Wednesday, said Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev.
"The Magnitsky List will not be a threat to security if it is passed, I think," Patrushev said.
He said the Magnitsky List and the Jackson-Vanik amendment were "mentioned" at Wednesday's Security Council meeting.
"We have a response to offer if the Magnitsky List is passed," he said.
The idea of adopting the Magnitsky List is rooted in the United States' internal problems, he said.
