Updated foreign policy concept mirrors Russian strategy in global affairs - Putin
NOVO-OGARYOVO. Feb 11 (Interfax) - A draft of the Russian updated foreign policy concept has been submitted to the Presidential Administration, President Vladimir Putin told staff members of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"The draft of the Russian updated foreign policy concept presented to the Presidential Administration outlines goals, tasks and ways of our country's strategy in global affairs," he said.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told the meeting that the concept would significantly "strengthen the legal framework of the foreign policy" when approved by the president.
Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters after the meeting that no deadlines had been set for consideration of the concept and it would be approved when ready.
