Only U.S. citizens barred from adopting Russian children, no problems with other countries - Kremlin
NOVO-OGARYOVO. Feb 20 (Interfax) - The ban on child adoptions is effective only with regard to the United States, there are no problems in this sphere with other countries, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said.
"The ban on child adoptions exists only for U.S. citizens and it is related to the inability of Russian authorities to control the stages of life and living conditions of adopted children in U.S. territory. There are no such problems with other countries, that is what we proceed from," Peskov told reporters.
