Blast kills 2 in Bishkek

BISHKEK. April 9 (Interfax) - An explosion killed at least two people in Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, a local security source told Interfax.

"An explosion took place in the Working Community district at about 6:30 p.m. local time, killing two people, according to preliminary findings. The causes of the incident have yet to be determined," it said.

Bomb disposal experts from the National Security Committee are currently working at the scene.
