Firtash firms sell 1.5-1.7 bcm of gas on Ukrainian market in Q1
KIROVOGRAD. April 25 (Interfax) - Firms associated with businessman Dmytro Firtash sold from 1.5 to 1.7 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas on the Ukrainian market in the first three months of this year.
"In the first quarter of this year, we actually sold somewhere around 1.5-1.7 billion cubic meters of gas," Firtash told the press during a visit by a delegation from the Federation of Ukrainian Employers to the plant Krasnaya Svezda in Kirovograd.
Firtash said that around ninety percent of the gas imported by his outfits is used for their own needs.
It is not correct to link gas deliveries to market by private companies with Gazprom's possible claims on national oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy, Firtash said. "They say that Gazprom might litigate, impose sanctions, but I want to say all that is nonsense. The issue is not in that [does not involve gas imports by private companies]," he said.
