Surkov regards Fursenko's appointment as Skolkovo supervisor as reassuring signal

MOSCOW. May 15 (Interfax) - Former vice premier Vladislav Surkov has welcomed the decision to make presidential advisor Andrei Fursenko the supervisor of the Skolkovo project.

Speaking to journalists Surkov who made a speech in defense of Skolkovo innovative center shortly before his resignation called the decision "very correct."

"This is a good signal, reassuring," Surkov said.

"This is a signal that on the whole the project is supported by the president and that his administration is taking Skolkovo under its wing," Surkov felt.

"I hope that it is so and that now the project is safe. It means that it was all worth it," the former supervisor of the project said.
