Ukraine's money base grows 4.7%, money supply 5.6% in Jan-April
KYIV. May 20 (Interfax) - Ukraine's money base grew 4.3% in April and 4.7% in January-April to UAH267.2 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.
Money supply increased 2% last month and 5.6% in January-April to UAH816.9 billion.
"On the monetary-lending market in April was observed growth of remnants both in the extension of bank credits and in the attraction of deposits. Together with this, there was a reduction in average weighted rates on credits for the real sector of the economy," the National Bank said.
