5-point earthquake jolts Kyrgyzstan
ALMATY. June 4 (Interfax) - Kazakh seismologists recorded a five-point earthquake in Kyrgyzstan at 8:35 p.m. Astana time on Tuesday.
The quake's epicenter was 393 kilometers southwest of Almaty, the seismological expedition of the Kazakh Education and Science Ministry's Science Committee reported.
The quake had 10.8 energy class and 0-5-kilometer depth. It occurred at 40.12 degrees North, 74.62 degrees East.
There have been no reports on casualties or damage.
