Staff reshuffle won't change strategic economic priorities - Putin
ST. PETERSBURG. June 21 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said staff reshuffle will not change the priorities of state economic policy.
"The strategic policies that we have selected will remain unchanged regardless of the staff reshuffle in the Central Bank and the economic blocs of the presidential and government administration," Putin said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2013.
The key elements of these policies are macroeconomic stability, further reduction of inflation, a responsible budget, and the observance of the budget rule, he said.
Elvira Nabiullina takes over as Central Bank head on June 24.
Economic Development Minister Andrei Belousov will replace Nabiullina as Russian presidential aide on June 24, and CB First Deputy Chairman Alexei Ulyukayev will take over as Economic Development Minister, according to unofficial reports.
A source from among the Russian authorities told Interfax that Ulyukayev would be appointed minister, saying this had been "99% decided".
