Georgian PM has no intention of leaving politics until stability is achieved
TBILISI. June 24 (Interfax) - Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said he will leave politics when Georgia and the people of Georgia need it.
"My departure from politics means that I will go from an easier place to a more difficult place. It will mean that I will leave a good team in the government, and only after that I will leave and will become an active member of society, which is looking to become part of the European community as soon as possible," Ivanishvili said on Sunday, responding to a question about his interview with an Estonian publication in which he said he intends to leave politics several days after the October 2013 presidential elections.
Ivanishvili said he is ready to stay prime minister if there is even the slightest feeling of instability in society an if there are any questions from society or his political team.
"We will not let anyone destroy anything and we will not give anyone the right to destabilize the situation," Ivanishvili said.
