Former En+ CEO Volynets chairs Nafta Moskva board of directors

MOSCOW. July 10 (Interfax) - Artem Volynets, who recently stepped down as the CEO of Oleg Deripaska's En+ Group, is now chairing the board of directors of Suleyman Kerimov's Nafta Moskva, the company reported.

The new chairman's responsibilities will include the development and implementation of Nafta Moskva's strategy, the advancement of its existing assets and new acquisitions.

The chairmanship of Nafta Moskva's board of directors was vacated in March, when Alexander Mosionzhik left the company. Anna Kolonchina, who was appointed Nafta Moskva's chief managing director, took up the group's operational functions at the time.

Volynets previously worked at the consulting company Monitor Group, but he transferred to Sual in 2003. He represented Viktor Vekselberg's holding during negotiations on the establishment of Russian aluminum company UC Rusal, and he ultimately became the new company's director for strategy and corporate development. In this position, Volynets prepared Rusal's purchase of a blocking stake in MMC Norilsk Nickel from Mikhail Prokhorov, as well as the aluminum company's initial public offering (IPO) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He transferred to En+ Group as first deputy CEO in the summer of 2010, and soon after Deripaska yielded operations management to Volynets to become the group's president.

Deripaska took the reigns as the En+ Group's CEO after Volynets left.

Structures belonging to Kerimov hold stakes in several public companies, among which are Uralkali , Polyus Gold International Limited, PIK Group , VTB and others.
