Truck driver apparently at fault in deadly crash in new part of Moscow - police
MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax) - A deadly car crash in the new part of Moscow on Saturday could have occurred because the driver of a truck failed to yield to a bus having priority, the Moscow city police department told Interfax.
"Preliminary findings indicate that route 1033 bus was traveling from Podolsk when a truck loaded with crushed stone crashed into it while approaching from a minor road," a police spokesperson said.
The bus was torn apart in the crash. The driver and several people in the bus were killed.
The Emergency Situations Ministry reported earlier that the accident killed 12 and injured 16 people.
