Georgia does not pay much attention to meetings between Russian, Abkhaz leaders - foreign minister
TBILISI. Aug 16 (Interfax) - Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze says she does not pay a lot of attention to Russian President Vladimir Putin's meeting with Abkhaz President Alexander Ankvab in Sochi on Thursday.
"This is not their first meeting. We follow these meetings and, naturally, make certain conclusions," Panjikidze told journalists on Friday.
These conclusions are then used in relations or conversations with Russian envoys directly or in the format of the Geneva talks, she said.
"But since this is not news and such meetings took place in the past as well, we do not pay too much attention to them at this stage," she said.
The Kremlin press service reported earlier that Putin and Ankvab had met in Sochi on August 15 and discussed Russian-Abkhaz relations and cooperation.
