BPC to become 100% Belarusian company - Belaruskali gen. director

MINSK. Sept 2 (Interfax) - Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) will be reorganized into a 100% Belarusian company, said Valery Kiriyenko, general director of Belaruskali which is one of BPC's main shareholders.

"I am convinced we will manage to secure the sale volumes we find necessary and, in addition to this, form a 100% Belarusian potash company, with our own capital, and make it the leading trader on the market," Kiriyenko said on Belarus-1 television.

Uralkali currently holds a 50% stake in BPC, Belaruskali 45% and Belarusian Railways 5%. Kiriyenko thereby indirectly confirmed that Uralkali will withdraw from BPC.
