Russia to endorse new state armament program in late 2015
NIZHNY TAGIL. Sept 27 (Interfax-AVN) - A new state armament program will be approved in its final edition by the end of 2015, Russian Military Industrial Commission Deputy Chairman Oleg Bochkaryov told Interfax-AVN.
"A new state armament program for the period of 2016-2025 is being drawn up. This is a ten-year program. It will be given final approval in late 2015," he said at the Russia Arms Expo 2013 international show in Nizhny Tagil.
The elaboration of the new state armament program started nearly three years ago, he said. "The half-year stage is complete. First estimates have been drawn, allocations are being planned and main parameters are being projected. We are yet to consider the concrete product nomenclature. So far general indicators are being formed," Bochkaryov said.
