Lukoil to invest 5 bln rubles by 2018 in new filling stations in Krasnodar region
MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - Lukoil plans to invest up to 5 billion rubles by 2018 in construction of new filling stations in Krasnodar Territory, the Russian oil company said in a statement.
LLC Lukoil-Yugnefteprodukt currently operates 128 filling stations in this southern Russian region.
Lukoil president Vagit Alekperov and Krasnodar Territory Governor Alexander Tkachev signed a cooperation agreement Friday at the seventh International Investment Forum in Sochi, the company said.
Under the agreement, Lukoil intends to develop wholesale and retail sales of oil production in the region. The company will also assist in modernizing the region's fuel and energy sector, as well as provide charitable aid, take part in social programs and other measures supported by the regional administration.
The regional government, in turn, will assist Lukoil in its investment and other business activities in the region.
