Yanukovych to support decision of Ukrainian parliament on possible treatment of Tymoshenko abroad
DONETSK. Oct 17 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said that Verkhovna Rada might approve the possibility for treatment abroad for former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and that he would sign such a bill.
"As of now, a bill, which will allow us to resolve this issue has been drafted by the political forces represented in parliament. Ukraine currently does not have a law which would allow Tymoshenko to go abroad. As soon as this issue is resolved in parliament and I have this bill on my desk then, naturally, if the parliament passes this bill, I will sign it," Yanukovych told reporters in Donetsk on Thursday.
