Russian Foreign Ministry provides Baumgertner support with observance of his rights as Russian citizen - ombudsman
YEREVAN. Oct 23 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry continues providing the necessary consular support to Uralkali General Director Vladislav Baumgertner, who is under house arrest in Minsk, Russian Foreign Ministry envoy on human rights, democracy, and supremacy of law Konstantin Dolgov said.
"I can't add anything on this case. All evaluations have already been given. The only thing I can say is that we continue providing him with all necessary consular support he is entitled to as a citizen of Russia through our embassy in Minsk and the Foreign Ministry," Dolgov told Interfax in Yerevan at a conference on the prevention of discrimination, xenophobia, and intolerance in Europe organized by the Foreign Ministry of Armenia, which now chairs the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, on Wednesday.
Dolgov said Baumgertner is receiving support "with the observance of his rights, including procedural rights, as a Russian citizen."
