Moscow City Hall permits Russian March in Lyublino on Nov 4
MOSCOW. Oct 28 (Interfax) - The Moscow city authorities have permitted nationalists to hold a Russian March on November 4, People's Unity Day, Russkiye movement leader Dmitry Demushkin told Interfax.
"The City Hall has called me to say the Russian March is permitted," Demushkin said on Monday night.
He said the written permit would be presented to the action organizers soon.
Moscow regional security department head Alexei Mayorov confirmed a preliminary agreement reached in regards to the request for the March. "We still need to discuss some details," Mayorov told Interfax.
Demushkin said on Sunday that activists of right-wing organizations and their supporters would march down Pererva Street and have a small rally and a concert of the Kolovrat rock band, which has also been permitted by the authorities. He said the organizers had to check the concert playlist for extremism and present their expert's opinion to the Moscow culture department.
"The band wrote new songs especially for this event. In fact, they will present a whole new album, and its main song will be the Russian March," Demushkin said.
Kolovrat is a rock band popular with the nationalists. Some of its songs have been listed as extremist materials by court orders.
